About This Session

Across Alaska, leaders are working to expand opportunity, strengthen belonging, and improve quality of life in communities that are increasingly diverse, interconnected, and complex. This session brings together a select group of practitioners and thought leaders who are shaping narratives, designing initiatives, and advancing equity within their organizations and regions. Participants will co-create five concrete recommendations that organizations across Alaska can implement now.

Kim Waller

CHIEF EQUITY OFFICER, MUNICIPALITY OF ANCHORAGE

Kimberly Y. Waller is the Chief Equity Officer for the Municipality of Anchorage, serving as the Director of the Office of Equity and Inclusion. A lifelong Alaskan, Kim began her career in Alaska media before spending nearly two decades in New York City with major networks including MTV and iHeartRadio. Since returning home in 2018, she has founded the Women's Power League of Alaska and served as Senior Director of Diversity and Inclusion at The Foraker Group. Kim holds a B.A. from New York University and an A.L.M. from Harvard University.

Angela Nasuk Cox

ALASKA NATIVE LEADER & COMMUNITY ADVOCATE

Angela Nasuk Cox is a respected Alaska Native leader from Utqiaġvik. With more than 20 years of experience, she has held key leadership roles including Vice President of External Affairs at Rasmuson Foundation and Vice President of Administration at Arctic Slope Native Association. Angela serves on the boards of the Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation and the Healthy Alaska Natives Foundation. She continues to champion community health, cultural strength, and Indigenous leadership.
